We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Birmingham to assist with the appointment of a Waking Night Officer , on a 2-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £14.43 - £17.70 per hour Summary: To supervise the building while the young people are in their bedrooms during the night, to assist in the care and control of young people and to ensure their safety in the home. To monitor the security of the building and the grounds. Responsibilities: To assist in the training and induction of new or Casual Waking Night Officers who may be required to work on a unit. To undertake the care and supervision of the young people in the home and to ensure their safety during the night. To undertake the care and control of young people as required. To work in conjunction with residential care staff in the supervision of young people when they are going to bed or getting up. To respond to fire alarms and follow the appropriate emergency procedures. Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
