A major PLC is looking for a Transport Manager in Birmingham Along with a salary of GBP 40,000 per annum, you will also receive an annual bonus, access to a company share save scheme, private healthcare, an employee wellness programme, a pension scheme, life assurance, and access to an award:winning training academy dedicated to staff development. Reporting to the General Manager, you will take responsibility for 18 Drivers (static routes) and a Transport Supervisor. Working hours are Monday:Friday (day shift). Their customers range from huge multi:national household names to independently owned family businesses. As Transport Manager, your responsibilities will include: : Developing efficient routes to ensure timely delivery while minimising costs : Overseeing the maintenance, operation, and management of the vehicle fleet : Ensuring all activities comply with local, national, and international regulations : Implementing and monitoring safety protocols to protect drivers, vehicles, cargo, and the public : Controlling costs and managing budgets related to transportation activities : Hiring, training, and supervising transportation personnel, including drivers and administrative staff : Addressing customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring high levels of service quality. : Utilising transportation management systems (TMS) and other technologies to optimise operations We're looking for a Transport Manager with: : A CPC qualification : A previous track record managing a similar size team This is a fantastic opportunity to join an employee focussed business that is committed to developing its people to ensure they have the best there is as part of the team for this role as Transport Manager, please click apply online and upload an updated copy of your CV.
