As Technical Manager you will have key responsibility forOur client an established and growing Food Manufacturing / Processing business are currently looking to recruit an experienced Technical Manager with a food industry background. As Technical Manager you will have key responsibility for: Act as the technical and compliance contact for customers, service providers and a growing teamAdvise the product development team of all relevant food safety guidance and legislationEnsure product packaging complianceLiaise with team members on all matters related to product quality and report back to the relevant peopleComplete inbound product checks of all raw materialsProvide additional QC support during production runs Key Responsibilities: Act as the Technical and Compliance contact for customers and service providers.Act as Technical Support for the growing team where required, providing monthly reporting on compliance, growing, pest & disease, product quality, customer issues and complaintsAdvise product development team of all relevant food safety guidance and legislationEnsure product packaging complianceLiaise with the site team on all matters related to product quality and report back as appropriateComplete inbound product checks of all raw materials and componentsProvide additional QC support during production runsManage weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual tasks associated with the Quality Management System.Lead the annual BRC certification renewal auditOversee the HACCP, TACCP & VACCP systemsProduct & service supplier approval and managementCorrective actions, non-conformancesManage laboratory testing compliance, finished product release, recall program, document control and traceability programsResponsible for management and development of raw material and final product specificationsManaging the technical@ inbox and Outlook calendar.Manage the Organic certification compliance and annual renewal audit Experience Requirements: Experience in a Technical Management / Quality Assurance role within the Food Manufacturing Industry Sector or closely allied sectorHave a good knowledge of HACCP TACCP & VACCP systemsUnderstanding of trace testingStrong Excel knowledge and skillsExcellent attention to detail - quality controllingExperience within BRC - Supply chain assuranceMust have experience in running a QMS
