Responsibilities Provide personalised care and support to individuals with daily tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration. Foster positive relationships and provide emotional support to individuals, creating a nurturing and supportive environment. Implement tailored care plans to meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times. Monitor individual progress and document changes in their condition, maintaining clear communication with healthcare professionals and team members. Promote independence and empower individuals to develop life skills and participate in community activities. Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and infection control measures. Essential Criteria Mandatory Training in care and support (e.g., the UK Core Skills Training Framework - CSTF Mandatory Training, OR the Care Certificate). CPI Training (formerly MAPA) Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Compassionate and empathetic approach towards providing care and support. Flexible availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Ability to adapt to changing situations and remain calm under pressure. Desirable Criteria Additional training or qualifications related to mental health, learning disabilities, or complex needs. The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism. Only candidates who meet the essential criteria outlined in this job description need apply.
