Job Title: Solution Architect - Location – London, Manchester, Bristol Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution/ApplicationArchitect to join our team. This role will involve designing, implementing, and supporting solutions and applications, focusing on cloud-based technologies, integration, and architecture governance. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of agile architecture and engineering practices, with a specific focus on the International Trade domain. This position requires deep knowledge and expertise in technologies, including but not limited to Azure, integration, security, and data management. Key Responsibilities: 1. Service and Solution Design: Lead the design and development of innovative solutions and services to meet the needs of Client 2. Agile Architecture/GDS Delivery Ways of Working: Implement and promote agile architecture and Government Digital Service (GDS) delivery methods to ensure efficient and effective project delivery. 3. Solution Options and Recommendations: Evaluate and recommend optimal solutions, technologies, and approaches to meet project requirements. 4. Engaging with External Contractors/Vendors: Collaborate with external partners, contractors, and vendors to ensure the successful implementation of architectural solutions. 5. Documenting Solutions: Create comprehensive documentation for architectural designs, ensuring clear and effective communication of technical details. 6. Support to Delivery Teams: Provide guidance and support to project delivery teams, ensuring that architectural best practices are followed. 7. Plan and Support Migration Activities: Develop migration plans and assist in the seamless transition of solutions into live operation. 8. Support Service Design and Transition: Collaborate with the service design team to ensure that architectural considerations are integrated into live operations. Application/Integration Architecture: • Design integration solutions and interfaces based on project design activities. Architecture Governance and Assurance: • Ensure compliance with Authority architecture principles, standards, patterns, and guardrails. • Provide assurance for solution and technical designs. • Oversee the governance process for technical artifacts. Qualifications and Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology). • Proven experience as a Solution/Application Architect, • Knowledge of agile and GDS delivery practices. • Strong understanding of integration and security technologies. • Previous experience in data management and cloud-based architecture. • Familiarity with development and architecture tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
