We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Software Engineer who is open to new opportunities, has an eye for detail, who can solve problems creatively and is a real team player. As a software engineer, you'll need to: - Write and test code, refine and rewrite it as necessary - Communicate with any programmers involved in the project - Research, design and write new software programs (e.g. business applications or computer games) - Develop existing programs by analysing and identifying areas for modification - Integrate existing software products and get incompatible platforms to work together - Maintain systems by correcting software defects - Be a team player and work closely with other team members - Continually update technical knowledge Skills: - Proficiency in Ruby on Rails or another object oriented language - Excellent knowledge of ReactJS, Javascript and CSS - Knowledge of PostGres SQL, SQL, database management - Eager to learn and a great team worker - Examples of your work on GitHub - Ability to communicate with clients and colleagues to explain complex issues clearly and concisely - Meticulous and organised approach to work> Logical, analytical and creative approach to problems - Thoroughness and attention to detail - Ability to work both in a team and alone and to manage your own workload - Career motivation and a willingness to continue to further your knowledge and skills - Ability to learn new skills and technologies quickly - Awareness of current issues affecting the industry and its technologies Qualifications - University degree in computer science or equivalent Join our team of highly skilled engineers who love to tackle difficult problems, make things beautiful, crunch numbers like there’s no tomorrow, release code every day and have a burrito and a beer every so often!
