Job Specification: : Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance and extra works/emergencies in accordance with the contract requirements on Mechanical Services and associated systems : A key success factor in the Shift Technicians role is communication, particularly in reporting plant problems / failures that may impact on the clients business. : Ensure that all plant and BMS checks are completed on time, and all problems found are recorded and communicated to the Shift Leader : Carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated systems. : Be proactive with regard to preventative maintenance and good site husbandry. : Respond in a prompt and effective manner to all Helpdesk related reactive maintenance issues, associated with the mechanical infrastructure and the heating and ventilation systems, pumps, water tanks, valves, pipe work and associated mechanical systems or as directed. : Repairs of electrical and mechanical systems, controls and associated systems. Package and Benefits : Work Pattern : Continental : GBP 48,000 per annum : 20 Days Annual Leave : Pension : Fantastic Opportunity : Career development Attributes : Planning and Organising : Achieving and Doing : Building Relationships : Delivery through People : Business Awareness : Customer Focus : Contributing to Continuous Improvement : Dealing with Change : Likely to have demonstrable experience of BMS monitoring and alert escalation : Ability to stay calm in a pressured situation : High levels of concentration, and the ability to maintain these levels through times of tedium : Very good verbal communication skills : Good numeracy skills : Good general IT skills : Candidate Must HaveRequirements : Previous experience working as Electrical Engineer, experienced on Industrial, Commercial and Domestic manufacturers systems, carrying out PPMs in line with SFG20 or equivalent with advanced fault finding diagnostic experience. : 18th Edition IEE Regulations : Experienced in the Electrical aspects of general building Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules : Competent working knowledge of Air Handling Unit's, Building Management Systems, Air Conditioning equipment, Cold Water systems, Heating and Ventilation systems, Water Treatment UPS, andEmergency Generators : Ideally all candidates should have undertaken an electrical apprenticeship : IOSH Working / Managing Safely (Desirable) : Safe system of Work Procedure : PTW; RAMS etc (Desirable) : L8 Training (Desirable) : Thorough working knowledge of one functional area through significant job experience and training : Experience of supporting a business contract and/or providing support to a professional function : Likely to have 5 years business experience and/or be a fully qualified : Significant M and E Operations Management experience within a business critical client environment : HV and LV Authorised Person : Requirement to complete the critical environment training, and to carry out scenario training as per schedule, guide and training shift team on SOPs/EOPs etc : Familiar fuelling procedures : Experience with HV generation and control systems : Experience with working within a critical and secure environment
