This is a full time, permanent position.Service Charge Team Leader Birmingham, UK Full Time – Hybrid Permanent £36,905 - £41,999 We have the fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join a team based in Birmingham, as a Service Charge Team Leader. This is a full time, permanent position. This position offers a hybrid working approach. The Service Charge Team Leader will manage a team of 2 officers and 1 assistant, and ensure continuous development of the service. Requirements Extensive experience in a Service Charge roleTeam management experienceKnowledge of Housing Associations – experience desirable Previous experience of a computerised accounting systemPrevious experience of working with complex control accountsPrevious experience within a Housing Association is desirableAble to plan and prioritise high volume workloadsExcellent IT skills, including using Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and WordExcellent communication skills both verbal and written Role Expectations Lead the management of the Electronic Service Charge System ESCSWork with budget holders to calculate variable service charges across the organisationIdentify improvement required and implement solutionsManage and coordinate the team , allocating responsibilities and reporting on KPIsProcessing invoices and managing financial documentationCreating year-end forecasted expenditure reports, estimated Service Charge budgets, and summary letters for approvalManaging accruals and prepayments as needed throughout the yearRegularly reviewing income, expenditure, and cash flow of blocksPreparing periodic income and expenditure reportsServing as the primary point of contact for contractor payment inquiriesFacilitating invoice paymentsCalculate and produce accurate actual and estimated service charges statementsLiaise with key internal and external partnersRespond to customer enquiries using case management techniques, investigating and escalating issues as necessary If you are interested in this position and meet the above criteria, please send your CV now for consideration.
