Learn More About Our Company AQuality Engineerworks within thequalityteam to ensure the overallqualityof a manufactured product and is tasked with creating documentation, devisingqualitytests and defining the criteria a test result should meet. They play a key role in fixing issues when they arise. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintaining and updating Site Quality System Controlling the 8D/CAR system (both Internal and External) Controlling the Concession system Assisting in the development of the site Quality Plan Point of contact for Certifying bodies Responsible for conformity to customer scorecard and portal requirements Point of contact for CAA (Civil Aviation) Point of contact for TWI (maintaining compliance with CL4 welding approval, which is a key requirement for Rail business) Rail business point of contact Point of contact for preparation, organisation and carrying out of, Customer Audits Control Site audit plan, both Internal and Supplier Undertaking Supplier audits Working with the Manufacturing/Engineering teams to facilitate site improvement Programs Monitoring of reporting members of staff (including LINK responsibilities) Monthly reporting of Quality Issues Updating and maintaining Quality databases Other Key ResponsibilitiesConducting Site tours for Customers as required Ensuring all associated administrative tasks are completed to the required standards, in line with internal policies and procedures; Maintenance of the Quality databases and the preparation of summary reports for the Senior Management Team. Other quality related roles / projects / Six Sigma activities as required. Assisting in the analysis, recording and monitoring of process scrap, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Ensuring Production are aware of quality issues raised by internal/external customers Ensuring the Health and Safety of all employees within area of responsibility at all times. Ensuring the highest levels of housekeeping within the department are maintained Endorsing 5S / TPM principles in the workplace Skills and Experience Requirement:Relevant Engineering degree essential:CQI membership desirable:Minimum of 3 years QA experience:Line management experience essential:A good knowledge of IT systems with particular skills in Excel and Word packages. :Good communication skills and able to liaise across all areas of manufacturing.:Experience of working within Manufacturing/Automotive Industry advantageous The Individaul:Analytical and logical approach to problem solving.:Flexible and adaptable to meet demanding business needs.:Ambitious and career minded individual :Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.:Target and objective driven completer/finisher.:Promote teamwork within the department.
