We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in St Helens to assist with the appointment of a Senior Early Years Practitioner , on a 3-month contract , likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £10.07 - £12.59 per hour Summary: To work alongside the Childrens Centre Manager / Day care Manager as a member of the Childrens Centre Early Years Team. To ensure that a high standard of care and education is extended to all children in accordance with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage / current legislation. To plan and organise for all key children in line with current legislation within a specified age group in the Childrens Centre Early Years Provision, ensuring that the range of needs of all children are met. To be responsible for ongoing assessment, training and monitoring of children and families wellbeing, progress and development in line with current legislation, reporting outcomes / data as required to the Childrens Centre Manager / Day care Manager. To complete home visiting to support families as part of the Childrens Centre/partner agencies improvement plans. To setup/facilitate Childrens Centre groups/events across the borough and support partner agencies. To conduct and support community consultations with the Childrens Centres and partner agencies as and when required. To be responsible for parents/families ongoing assessment via level 2 family support, home visiting and all records to be kept up to date in line with current policy. Responsibilities: Establish good working relationships with children and families; Provide consistent support to all children and families, responding appropriately to individual needs; To assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans for children with additional needs and/or developmental delay; Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children and families. To ensure the administration of First Aid, as appropriate, adhering to policies and procedures with recording accidents and incidents; Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
