The Learning Mentor will play a key role in providing support and guidance to students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.Job Description:We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Mentor for a number of opportunities in Warrington. The Learning Mentor will play a key role in providing support and guidance to students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, focusing on academic, social, and emotional development.Build positive relationships with students, offering encouragement, motivation, and guidance.Identify barriers to learning and develop strategies to address them, including providing additional support and resources as needed.Work closely with teachers, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders to develop and implement individualized support plans for students.Monitor and track student progress, and communicate regularly with teachers, parents/guardians, and other relevant parties.Support students in developing study skills, organization, and time management skills.Provide support during transition periods, such as starting a new school year or moving to a new school.Collaborate with other members of the support team, including learning support assistants, counselors, and special education teachers. Qualifications: Previous experience working as a Learning Mentor or in a similar role.Knowledge of child development and learning theories.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support students in overcoming challenges and achieving their goals.Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders.Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond effectively to the diverse needs of students.
