We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Residential Childcare Officer , on a 4- month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £13.00 per Hour PAYE Responsibilities: Sensitively receive placements of young people into the Home in accordance with the homes Policy and associated procedures. Actively supporting the education plans for children including homework, project work and revision. Contributing and maintaining accurate records relating to the Home and individual young people. To fully participate in the departmental scheme for professional staff supervision and Personal Performance and Development Review. To participate actively in supporting the principles and practice of equality of opportunity as laid down in the organisation's Equal Opportunities Policy. Requirements: The right candidates need to have a driving license and be registered with Social Care Wales as a Residential Childcare Officer. Experience of working with young people is desirable. Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
