Workshop Technician (Mechanical/Engineer) Burton Upon Trent A GBP 32,000 : A GBP 33,000 Starting Salary Van (Ford Transit Custom and Can be Used for Personal Use) + Fuel Card + Van Cleaning Allowance + 6 Employer/4 Employee Pension + Overtime at Time 1.5 and 2.0 + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Life Assurance + Discount Benefits Scheme + Uniform + PPE + Subsidised Canteen 6am : 2pm or 7am : 3pm Monday to Friday (39 hours a week) Workshop Technician role available in a highly successful and international manufacturer of forklift trucks. Youll enjoy great benefits associated with a world leading company including comprehensive on the job training and progression routes to field service and leadership/management roles. The Workshop Technician role will be suitable for engineers from any kind of plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment. Automotive technicians/motor trade applicants will also be very suitable. You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally have engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills. Youll be based at a clients site responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown on a range of forklifts. Youll order any spares when needed and communicate progress. The site is clean, has a dedicated workshop and overtime is available if desired. The Workshop Technician role in brief: * Carry out PDIs, service and repair work on workshop and service basis on a range of forklift trucks at a clients distribution centre. * Work on a Monday to Friday basis in a busy workshop environment. * Order spares when necessary. * Overtime. The Workshop Technician Person Required: * Experience on plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, cars or similar equipment. * Excellent communication skills * IT literate
