We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a Refugee Resettlement Worker, on a 3- month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration. Rate of Pay: £18.24 - £23.42 per hour Responsibilities: Undertake welfare checks of evicted service users. To provide advice and support to Service users evicted due to SAP. To act as a Single Point of Contact for refugees and service providers/stakeholders. To conduct holistic needs assessments with individuals and families and create a plan of support To provide support and advice around and referral to appropriate health services, DWP, bank accounts, education, access to employment, housing etc. To work directly with individuals and families in helping them gain the knowledge and skills then need to move on to independence Qualifications: A good general knowledge of statutory and voluntary services and legislation An excellent understanding of equal opportunities Experience of working with vulnerable groups and proven ability to understand and advice on complex areas of legislation and policy. Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
