JOB DESCRIPTION TEMPLATE Role: Analyst/Consultant Job Type: Permanent - 45k- base /Annum Location: London or Norwich (Onsite/Hybrid) • Are you an Analytics or Actuarial professional with experience in data analytics. • Hands on experience in analytics using Excel and R programming. • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills. Careers at TCS: It means more The Role • Be part of the global actuarial practice team. • Work closely with professionals from actuarial and business teams. • Work with customers from the Insurance Industry and identify opportunities to support their strategy and improve their processes across functions. Key responsibilities: • Designing and building Shiny apps • Giving guidance to novice and intermediate R coders to improve standards across the team • Improving existing processes, and re-implementing existing Excel processes in R • Presenting complex data in useful ways • Developing new techniques for automating actuarial decisions • Liaising with business users to make sure any output meets business needs • Training business users in any new tools Your Profile Key skills/knowledge/experience: • Strong experience in data analytics using R programming and Excel. • Experienced in writing high quality R code. • The ability to work collaboratively with business users and other coders • Familiarity with Shiny is preferable • Been a mentor giving guidance to junior R codes to improve standards across the team • Ability to present complex data in useful ways • Understand the business requirements and make sure any output meets business needs • Graduated in Engineering OR in Actuarial, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce or Economics Good to have: • Experience in Actuarial, Finance or Insurance analytics projects • Certification in R programming.
