Description: A Product Manager will possess entrepreneurial spirit and apply business leadership and management skills to your products and business. Have an expert level of product and market knowledge, understanding of competitive pricing structures to develop appropriate marketing strategies. Provide training and technical support to Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering and Service departments. Develop inventory management strategies by working closely with the supply chain team. Continually search for new products and markets, as well as, improve existing products. Be responsible for maintaining acceptable profit levels for all products. What you’ll do: Must have a thorough understanding of the technical aspects of the product line, the principles of operation, the various applications for which the products are designed/used and the product’s strengths and weaknesses relative to competitors’ products. Responsible for coordinating with Marketing to develop a marketing plan and must have a working knowledge of the market for their products. Responsible for product strategy and a product roadmap by directing product development through the Innovation process. Must develop information about key suppliers and manage interpersonal relationships with supplier’s key personnel, i coordination with Supply Chain. Provide timely support to the sales effort with tools, including technical support, training and direct customer interaction when needed. Expected to work with the responsible supply-chain team to develop the inventory strategy and/or service levels for each company. Take a leadership role when researching and resolving customer complaints and/or Corrective Action Requests (CAR’s), and ensure the customer receives quality customer service & support. Responsible for participating in the business planning process. This plan includes the Product Manager’s commitment to sales volume and gross profit level and cost containment.
