The main responsibilities include: Undertake all care for patients whilst in the hospital including diagnostic tests and post-operative careAdmission and discharge of patients on a theatre dayAdminister drugs in accordance to the NMC guidelines for the safe and secure handling of medicinesFollow correct procedure for reporting any accidents or incidentsTake part in the hospital on call rotaAssist the consultant and clinical team in the delivery of all ophthalmic carePrepare all areas prior to any clinical activities, ensuring all equipment is checked and ready for useEnsure the correct storage of all equipmentAssist with stock control, ensuring realistic par levels are maintained and all items are readily availableManages all the diagnostic equipment on a daily basisTo always ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with the Data Protection ActDeal with any incoming queries from patientsProvide support and mentorship to colleagues and new staff If this role is of interest to you, please respond to this advert with an up to date copy of your CV, contacting Chloe on 01772 XXXXXX or XXXX@servicecare.org.uk
