We support our learners and deliver efficient assessments, keeping the customer experience at the forefront of what we do. We are here to develop our learners, ensuring they have the plans, and guidance they need to complete their qualification. We require a QCF (NVQ) assessor to support and assess people working towards qualifications in the lift and escalator industry. Your job will be to assess learner's and ensure that they meet all the occupational standards needed to achieve their qualification. Your day-to-day tasks will vary and will include: On-site assessments and visits Online assessments using e-portfolio softwareDiary management Promotion of the NVQ programmes Planning and delivering vocational training programmesCreating and examining candidates' portfolios of evidence Questioning candidates about how they would deal with non-standard situations Providing constructive feedback and offering advice if the standards are not met Signing off the award when all the requirements have been met Keeping records of learners' progress Attending meetings with other assessors and professional training Working closely with training staff and learner's managers Requirements: Qualifications Required: Relevant lift qualifications and;Holder of assessor/verifier qualifications such as: (We will consider training for the right candidate if they do not currently hold this qualification) A1/A2, V1/V2 orD32/33/34, Or You will require one of the following qualifications: Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment – for assessing occupational competence in the workplaceLevel 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement – for assessing both occupational competence in the workplace, and skills, knowledge, and understanding outside the workplace Experience You must have suitable lift industry experience, preferably with experience in a training/coaching role. A good knowledge of industry standards is required.Hours This is a full-time role, 37 hours a week. You will assess learners in their workplace and on-line.You would usually be based in our office in Manchester and would travel to the candidates' places of work. A driving licence will be required.
