Due to the expansion of their European Technical Centre, this company is seeking a number of Engineers with experience of industrial automation and control systems. You will have experience in setting-up and programming PLCs to provide product support to European subsidiaries. The role requires supporting electrical products by providing technical support to clients, providing assistance for specific customer applications and performing fault investigations.Due to the expansion of their European Technical Centre, this company is seeking a number of Engineers with experience of industrial automation and control systems.We are seeking Engineers with experience in setting-up and programming PLCs to provide product support to European subsidiaries. The role requires supporting electrical products by providing technical support to clients, providing assistance for specific customer applications and performing fault investigations. The successful candidate will also be required to design and deliver training courses/presentations to European subsidiaries, create operation manuals and technical guides, as well as carrying out investigations and tests to evaluate products.To be successful in this role, you must have: A Degree or HND Qualification - Electrical, Electronics, Software or Electromechanical EngineeringRelevant work experience, although recent Graduates will be consideredKnowledge of PLCs and Ladder or Structured Text programming languageStrong verbal and written communication skills as you will be required to write detailed, technical reports and product documentationThe ability to occasionally travel to Europe Desirable, but not essential skills: Experience of inspecting and testing devicesWorking knowledge of pneumatic and electrical test equipmentExperience to plan and manage projectsTechnical product support experienceExperience of delivering technical trainingExperience with some industrial communication protocols for example PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT and IO-LinkExperience with some PLC engineering tools: Tia Portal, TwinCAT and Studio 5000
