Mechanical bias Shift SupervisorCirca GBP 52k (Salary + Shift Allowance)West EndDays:Only 12 Hour PatternOvertimePensionTraining Our customer are one of the most well established Facilities and Maintenance Services organisations in the UK, with growth plans and delivering M and E maintenance across a range of commercial environments including corporate, critical services, retail and commercial real estate. They currently seek a multi:skilled shift leader with a strong mechanical engineering background to join one of their existing and long:held multi:tenant commercial sites close to Bond Street, Central London. Part of a team who deliver planned and reactive maintenance to building services and HVAC systems, the role will be working on a days only pattern, from 7am to 7pm and on a 4 on / 4 off split. Guideline salary for the position is circa GBP 46:48k basic, with a GBP 5k shift allowance. Extra remuneration is available in the form of a call:out rota, as well as overtime. Candidates must be fully qualified in mechanical engineering / air conditioning, ideally through a full apprenticeship, and with at least five years experience of delivering planned and reactive maintenance within commercial building services. Along with core qualifications, additional training such as F:Gas, L8 / Cooling Tower training, current or previous Mechanical AP status, etc will all be beneficial. Particular day:to:day responsibilities will include: - Maintaining a close liaison and working relationship with the Engineering Supervisor and Manager- Attend all allocated training coursee- Issue relevant site Permits as part of the Safe System of Work- Completion of SFG20 PPMs and reactive tasks and update the system in order to meet contractual obligations.- Ensure that daily checks are completed and repair or report any defects using the helpdesk or reactive works ticketing system- Responsible for M and E stock control- Ensure any accidents and near misses are reported to line managers- Maintain and supervise effective site handovers, including critical plant status, plant isolations, issues arising, ongoing works, special task requests, standard of housekeeping- Comply with both statutory and company health, safety and environmental regulations and policies.- Timely implementation and recording of all statutory inspections including accurate recording of electrical, fire and water hygiene records- Where necessary be available to attend out of hours calls when required or when working the on:call shifts (including on public holidays)- Control of 3rd party contractors including monitoring of work performance and standards, including internal auditing where applicable in conjunction with the Engineering Manager- Ensure that Specialist Service Provider worksheets are signed off that quality of work is inspected and recommendations are escalated to the Engineering Manager/Supervisor- Maintain the 100 uptime criteria- Ensure that Plant areas, workshops, stores, changing/rest areas etc. are kept to the highest level of housekeeping- Carry out regular 1 on 1 meetings and document performance reports with each member of your team and ensure they receive regular feedback on their performance and have the opportunity to discuss their ongoing development. Will be expected to operate and trouble shoot on a range of building systemsincluding but not limited to the following: o BMS and electrical monitoring and associated controls systemso Air handling, conditioning and terminal units : VAV and CRACo Water chillerso Domestic water serviceso Fire prevention and detection systemso VESDAo Fire suppressiono Variable speed driveso AC, DC single phase and three phase motorsoPumps and Motorso Low voltage switch panels and associated breakers This is a rare opportunity to join a well established and stable site, and perhaps for an existing shift leader to get away from a full 24/7 shift pattern and enjoy the
