Jonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our clients collaborative and inclusive team in Stockport. This full:time Manufacturing Engineer role offers a salary of A GBP 45,000 to A GBP 50,000 per annam and many excellent benefits. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support manufacturing processes to improve product quality and ease of manufacture. The company is a trusted partner to military customers around the world and has a skilled and experienced workforce dedicated to achieving excellence in all areas of the business, from Engineering to Project Management and Business Support to Operations. This critical role is to develop/implement improvements to manufacturing processes and to drive continuous improvement, consistency of product quality and delivery. During your first few weeks in this Manufacturing Engineer role, you can expect to: * Create, manage, and deliver improvement action plans* Implement a customer:focused, operational improvement culture, delivering world:class customer service levels* Explore the business case for process automation where applicable; for repeatability, efficiency and quality improvements* Develop processes to improve dimensional stability from effective jigging / fixture / alignment* Continuously drive efficiency improvements that reduce the build hours/product* Lead, develop and implement quality manufacturing improvement programmes across area of responsibility* Coordinate cross:functional team activities to optimise the cost performance of the plant through capital investment programmes, optimising operating standards and minimising waste through the development of a continuous improvement culture* Support and lead structured problem:solving and process improvement activities for this Manufacturing Engineer position, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include: * Ideally holding an HND or an Advanced/Higher Apprenticeship in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering* Educated to Bachelor level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Discipline* Planning experience using SAP and Ideally Trained in SAP* Structuring BOMs from Drawing to Manufacture* A proven successful track record of manufacturing excellence and experience in a similar role within an industrial or technical environment* It would be advantageous to have planning experience with SAP or to be trained in SAP If youre looking to impact and create change positively, youll be rewarded with a salary of A GBP 45,000 to A GBP 50,000 and an excellent benefits package for your inclusive and committed approach.
