We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hackney to assist with the appointment of a Lead Internal Change Communications Manager, on a 3 -month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £349.00 - £450.00 per Day Responsibilities: To provide effective strategic leadership and management that will contribute to the continuous improvement of the Council, through reviewing, designing, monitoring internal communication and staff engagement events agenda. To provide a strategic lead and specialist expertise on the Councils internal engagement service alongside HR and OD colleagues, ensuring that the Council delivers high-quality and inclusive staff consultations and engagement activities that give every staff member a voice and influences decision making. To play a key leadership role, in partnership with Corporate Leadership and Member colleagues, in delivering a high quality and modern internalCommunications and events function that supports services and their staff to effectively fulfil their roles productively. Be the lead and go-to person on crisis issues and business continuity management for the internal comms service. Be an active member of the Councils wider leadership team. To serve as a deputy for the Strategic Head of Communications andEngagement, and relevant strategic director, when needed. Required Experience: Substantial and in-depth experience in communication and engagement activities in a large complex organisation. Substantial experience of public sector communications. Substantial experience of developing consultation and engagement strategies which improve staff engagement. Experience and knowledge of working closely with elected Members, and knowledge of political and government affairs. Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
