This position plays a critical role in conducting detailed risk assessments, thorough investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents, and coordinating actions to continuously improve health and safety standards within the business. Your Mission: In this role, you will be instrumental in achieving health and safety KPIs by conducting comprehensive risk assessments across all business activities and ensuring the implementation of appropriate safeguards and controls to minimize risks. Organizing and chairing quarterly health and safety committee meetings, maintaining minutes, and monitoring actions are among your key responsibilities. You will also conduct regular practice fire evacuation drills, record accident and near-miss incidents, investigate safety concerns, and prepare standard operating procedures. Additionally, you will maintain stocks and control the issue of personal protective equipment, organize essential health checks and tests, conduct racking inspections, and maintain a central log to coordinate health and safety-related actions. Your goal is to ensure high standards of housekeeping and hygiene throughout the site, maintaining compliance with relevant accreditations and certifications. Key Competencies: NEBOSH general certificate is required. Experience coordinating health and safety within a manufacturing plant is essential. Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, accident and near-miss investigations, and racking inspections. Accuracy, attention to detail, and a proactive and constructive approach to problem-solving. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and helpful attitude. Offer Details: Salary: £30,000 per annum.
