The Post holder will take a lead role in the implementation and evaluation of the Safeguarding Policy and compliance with the Prevent order, including Contest policies and processes for all areas of Twin, including online safety. You will also be responsible for Health and Safety controls and compliance across the Group. Responsibilities Operational oversight of safeguarding and prevent ensuring effective safeguarding arrangements for different age group learners in their different settings, both nationally and internationally. Deliver Twin’s safeguarding calendar, chairing meetings as necessary, providing reports, delivering training and other requirements as appropriate. The management and monitoring of all disclosures and effective reporting at all levels. Supporting the embedding of Safeguarding/Prevent/Contest in all teaching and learning, IAG and work placement sessions through the provision and support with resources, posters, and work linked to delivery and within the observation process. Ensure effective communications/support to all staff developing handbooks for learners and employers, parents, and guardians. Where Twin is a subcontractor, and responds to all requests for safeguarding information to support the DD process. Liaising with all external organisations to manage safeguarding risks in all environments i.e. Pharos, External Prevent coordinators, local safeguarding boards, mental and clinical health. Ensure safeguarding is effective in all external audits/Ofsted/BCA/ISI/QQI/Pharos and contributes to the overall success of these to at least an Ofsted Grade 2 standard or its equivalence. Contribute to all self-assessment activity across the Group ensuring safeguarding and prevent is evaluated, reported, and underpinned by a robust improvement plan. Risk management of safeguarding risks and implementation of risk mitigation strategies. Health and Safety Monitor and support sites health & safety performance. Champion ways to improve the Group’s health & safety standards and awareness. Advise sites on all relevant regulations, best practices, trends, and legal compliance. Support new operational start-ups. Foster strong relationships with and influence operational business areas. Ensure the adoption of best practice H&S management processes including, potential hazards and hazard reporting, safety conversations, accident reporting, accident investigations, root cause understanding, trend analysis, risk assessments, safe systems of work, employee engagement, monitoring, and training. Assist in the implementation of initiatives to embed a strong H&S awareness culture. Support the H&S audit programmes and support the closure of any corrective actions. Support the integrity of H&S performance metrics. Ensure contractors are approved and the required documentation is in place. Support the communication of H&S material to employees by all required means (e.g. involvement in toolbox talks, notice board communications, briefs, emails, etc). Education /Qualification At least Level 3 Safeguarding Qualification NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent level qualification Skills and Experience Significant understanding of the requirements of Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023 and further relevant legislation and guidance and the Child Protection safeguarding standards. Experience in conflict resolution. Operational and management experience in safeguarding and health and safety Understanding of Mental Health and support services Supervisory or management experience working with people to help them achieve company and personal goals. Knowledge and experience of regulating bodies safeguarding compliance. A strong track record of delivering safety performance improvement through behavioural and cultural change. Properties/facilities experience (desirable) Experienced in supporting staff through lived experiences post-disclosure. Must be able to drive, have a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle. Additional Information Salary: £45,000.00 per annum depending on experience Location: Hybrid, with office base being Greenwich. Frequent travel to all Twin sites required.
