Description:
As a Migration Architect in the global data platform (Data & Analytics), you will leverage a client-centric approach to translate our OpCo’s business requirements into solutions and services for data platform that lead to successful business outcomes. • Come up with migration strategy and solution for the on-premises components (Teradata/Informatica) in cloud (AWS PAAS services + Snowflake). • Design, review, and approve all objects that will be part of the database. • Establish and maintain meta data standards. • Coordinate with the business staff and the warehouse support staff in matters regarding meta data capture and meanings, schema modifications and enhancements. • Develop and maintain technical documentation about the data. • Coordinate with the ETL specialist on data mappings and conversion rules, and with the DBA for instantiating logical schemas into physical schemas. • Identify opportunities to optimise warehouse performance. • Enforce applicable standards, policies, procedures, and best practices in the implementation and/or maintenance of ETL mappings. • Architect the modern data platforms while leveraging cloud offerings such as AWS/SaaS/IaaS, other tools, tableau, Power BI. • Define architecture objectives for each capability of the data platform and business requirement/stories. • Create and maintain conceptual data model and designs, including entity relationship diagrams, illustrating what data will be stored, how it is organised, how it can be retrieved (keys), and how it relates to other data in the database. • Define and control schema definitions and manage database security and roles. • Create and maintain data definition language (DDL) that can be used to create and update the database. Key Skills/Knowledge: • Ability to perform all the skills required for data warehouse design, implement and monitor. • Familiarity with designing and delivering data and analytics solutions for an enterprise which aligned to business drivers, architecture principle, and security policies. • Knowledge of Pipelines, ETL/ELT, and advanced data ingestion. • Familiarity with a data strategy for enterprise and data management. • Aptitude of developing capabilities and to continue to support teams in growing their data landscape. • Ability to work with different data and analytics teams in an enterprise.
