They are a small business that aims to create a family feel by creating a welcoming, supporting and inclusive environment for employees and customers.The Job Role Primarily site-based, but also office-based/working from homeWorking in a small, dedicated team of qualified, hard-working individualsPredominantly working in and around London, but opportunities to work nationwide includes staying away – expenses paidTesting, sampling and locally removing concrete and construction materialsPossibility of working at height and within confined spacesOpportunities for further education and career progression within the industryWeekend working overtime paid and occasional unsociable hours evenings/nightsSent on courses such as, CSCS, PASMA, IPAF etc. ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of an Engineering Technician will comprise the following: Working with engineers in performing routine testing, inspections and surveying of structuresWorking in a range of locations construction sites, offices etc.Maintaining testing equipment and toolsDocumenting results, reports, method statements and risk assessmentsMaintaining accurate and detailed records of equipment and materials on siteTransporting materials and equipment to and from job sitesMaintaining the cleanliness and organisation of job sites RequirementsThe requirements of an Engineering Technician are as follows: Experience working on construction sites is not essential, but is preferredEnthusiasm and willingness to developGood maths/science and/or physical/practical skillsGood organisational skillsReliable and hard workingAbility to work independently and as part of a teamValid UK driver’s licenseGood communication and problem-solving skills If you are a hard-working individual with a strong work ethic and are seeking a challenging and rewarding career, then we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity
