We love bringing our young learners from around the world together through a common language and building global connections. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Position Summary: The Centre Manager inspires, motivates, and leads an entire school of staff, leaders, and students. Key Responsibilities: Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contact. Manage, lead, and inspire a team of colleagues dedicated to students’ development and welfare. Maximise student and group leader satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds expectations. Ensure the centre operates to the highest standards of relevant Health & Safety, safeguarding. Ensure the programme runs within the pre-determined budgets in consultation with the supporting Programme Manager or Head Office teams. Overseeing the submission of all centre administration. Provide regular centre updates to the supporting Programme Manager. Specific duties include: Training, and inspiring the centre teams. Conducting assemblies and inductions for students and Group leaders. Conducting staff and Group leader meetings. Overseeing staff performance and behaviour and ensuring that staff demonstrate and adhere to safe and healthy working practices at all times. Liaising with the Recruitment Team to ensure staffing is at maximum capacity and staffing issues are addressed in a timely manner. Creating staff rotas and ensuring employee contracted hours are adhered to and additional hours recorded weekly. Ensuring accuracy of all staff working hours for payroll purposes. Reviewing completed Meal provision forms and Occupancy record forms prior to weekly submission to the host centre. Supporting the Activity Management team. Supporting the Academic Management team. Supporting the Welfare and Accommodation team. Ensuring all management teams receive completed feedback in a timely manner. Overseeing Student arrivals and departures procedures are in place and adhered to. Managing a positive working relationship with all stakeholders. Organisational Compliance: The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters. Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training. Education desired: Educated to Degree level or equivalent/or working towards Additional qualifications desired: Safeguarding Level 1 and 2 Experience required: Management experience Experience preferred: Experience working with juniors Experience in a role involving organisation / logistics / travel Personal attributes: Ability to lead and inspire a team Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office packages Ability to understand and manipulate data accurately Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organisational and planning skills Ability to deal and resolve complex problems efficiently Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines Demonstrates the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people Demonstrates emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours Demonstrates a positive attitude to the use of authority and maintaining discipline Demonstrates an exceptional level of attention to detail Working Week: 6 days* out of 7 (1 day off per week) All management roles are residential Remuneration: To help you better understand your potential earnings throughout the duration of your contract, we have prepared a sample weekly earnings calculation. This is based on the assumption that you do not take holiday during your employment and instead have it paid out on completion of contract. Weekly Gross basic pay up to : £981.53 Holiday Pay : £118.47 TOTAL Pay : £1,100.00 Disclosure and Barring Service: If you do not have an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring certificate and are not registered on the DBS update service, we will need to apply for a new Enhanced DBS for you.
