Service Care Solutions are looking for a dedicated candidate to join a knowledgeable and supportive team at Staffordshire County Council as a Early Year Sufficiency And Market Development Consultant.Service Care Solutions are looking for a dedicated candidate to join a knowledgeable and supportive team at Staffordshire County Council as a Early Year Sufficiency And Market Development Consultant. You will ensure that the local authority meets its statutory duty to secure sufficient early years and childcare provisions, and provide high quality advice and support for all providers and prospective providers of Early Years and Childcare places including childminders, schools, academies and private, voluntary and independent settings.Contract: 12 months with a view to be extended Pay: £16.26 per hour Hours: Full-Time, Mon-FriRole Responsibilities:• Acquire detailed local knowledge of the Early Years and Childcare market and work withproviders to secure sufficient places to meet local demand.• Work with providers to support them to produce and implement effective business plansand strategies, and to meet demands of their local childcare market, including expandingtheir provision where appropriate.• Support childcare providers with promotional marketing strategies to aid them to considerwhat will support the viability of their business• Support providers to review their governance arrangements and ensure that the mostappropriate model is adopted.• Support twice yearly sufficiency audit data collection• Analyse district and ward level data to support with the creation of action plans to ensurethere are sufficient childcare places at ward level across the county.• Provide support to existing and new providers around the suitability of premises to meetOfsted registration requirements and operate effective childcare.Essential Criteria:• Degree in Early Years and Childcare and/or Business• Have experience and a strong understanding of the statutory requirements of the EYFS• Have experience of providing advice, guidance and support to others• Demonstrate a high level of verbal communication, listening and interpersonal skills• Demonstrate a clear understanding of sufficiency and market development planning and thecreation of sustainable early years childcare places• Knowledge and experience of early years and childcare within a business focused contextincluding current up to date knowledge of the sector and relevant subject areasIf you are interested or know of anyone who may be, please send your CV to XXXX@servicecare.org.uk or call 01772 XXXXXX and ask for Kat to discuss further.
