We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Thurrock to assist with the appointment of a Director of Public Health, on a 8 - month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £900.00 per Day PAYE Responsibilities: Advise and support Directors Board members, Cabinet and portfolio holders in shaping services Develop effective relationships with residents and ensure that the services provided reflect their needs Influence and steer the planning of services Prepare, manage and monitor the services budget Ensure effective leadership, motivation and development of the services staff Regularly review resources, services and partnership arrangements in order to identify opportunities to improve service delivery Qualification: Educated to degree level or equivalent A recognised professional qualification in public health Significant relevant experience in a senior management position with a record of measureable success Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
