CNC Manufacturing Engineer Job Type : Full Time Location: Birmingham Salary: Competitive + Overtime when required Hours: Monday : Thursday 7.30 : 16.00 and Friday : 7.30 : 12.30 The Role Our client is a well:established and expanding manufacturing company based in Birmingham and due to their current projected growth, they are now looking to recruit for the position of Manufacturing Engineer. The successful applicant will be based at their clients production facility in Birmingham city centre. Reporting to the Head of Operations your responsibilities will be highlighting efficiency gains into the CNC section, your responsibilities will be supporting programming, implementing changes, updating existing routings and supporting the management team to gain projected improvements. Key Responsibilities * Highlighting inefficiencies within the CNC department* Adhering to company manufacturing procedures* Conforming to specified engineering and quality standards* First off part inspection (if applicable)* General workmanship and quality care of products* Adhering to the companies HSE policies* Validate first issue routings for manufactured items* Supporting operators within the section to meeting departmental targets* Off line programming using Solidworks and Solidcam 2.5D Skills and Qualifications * Experience as a setter:operator with CNC milling / turning machines* Strong understanding of CNC milling / turning manufacturing processes* Understand technical drawings and tolerances* Be able to understand and meet departmental targets.* Capable of programming Mazatrol programs* Capable of understanding and altering ISO Programmes* Performed in a setter:operator role using Mazak machinery.* Work holding design utilising Solidworks.* Experience with Mazak smooth G and Mazak 560M.* Experience of programming with Renishaw Set and Inspect.* Fundamental LEAN manufacturing knowledge.* Understand and adhere to 5S standards* CNC turning knowledge Benefits * Additional leave* Competitive salary* Company events* Company pension* Gym membership* Health and wellbeing programme* Life insurance* Sick pay* Store discount If you feel you are a suitable candidate and would like to work for this reputable organisation, please do not hesitate .
