Battery Systems Modelling Engineer required for a global leader in renewable energy technologies, revolutionizing the industry through innovation and pioneering initiatives. As a Systems Modelling Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and optimising sophisticated engineering software solutions for battery energy storage systems With a primary focus on Python, coupled with expertise in energy systems analysis and financial modelling, you will play a critical role in creating tools that not only meet the highest engineering standards but strategically maximise competitiveness and drive operational efficiency. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, your contributions will extend beyond conventional development tasks, ensuring software remains at the forefront of innovation in the renewable energy sector. Responsibilities: Collaborate with engineering teams to understand modelling requirements for battery energy storage systems. Develop and maintain high-performance, reliable engineering software solutions using Python. Build financial modelling tools applicable across diverse regions. Implement and optimize algorithms for battery management and monitoring. Integrate software solutions into BESS products in collaboration with hardware engineers. Test and validate software to meet industry standards and customer requirements. Experience Required: Fundamental knowledge of engineering software development. MSc/MEng or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent. Portfolio showcasing system optimization experience. Strong mathematical mindset and proficiency. Expertise in Python; familiarity with Git and SQL preferred. Experience in energy systems analysis and noise modelling desirable.
