Azure AI Infrastructure Architect Level: Senior Department: Azure Location: Virtual Office in UK (US Based with clients in UK) 100% REMOTE Type: FTE or Contract Pay Range: Based on experience level GENERAL DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES The Azure AI Infrastructure Architect will lead the creation of high-value data driven solutions leveraging Cyclotron’s proven implementation methodology and solutions for enterprise projects, as well as contributing to technical pre-sales activities as required. You will be responsible for designing solution architecture and requirement definition. You will have the opportunity to work with and learn the latest cloud solutions in an exciting work environment. As an AI Infrastructure Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of our client’s organization, focusing on creating scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure for their AI initiatives The ideal candidate will possess a diverse set of skills encompassing data management, analytics, and Microsoft and Databricks technology experience. Data Architecture: Experience designing and implementing robust data architectures. Knowledge of data modeling, normalization, and denormalization techniques. Database Management: Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL Database) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos DB). Understanding of database optimization, indexing, and query performance tuning. Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with big data technologies, such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Apache Hadoop. ETL/ELT Processes: Expertise in designing and implementing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) or Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) processes. Experience with tools like Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Data Integration: Knowledge of data integration strategies and tools to ensure seamless data flow across different systems. Familiarity with Azure Logic Apps and Azure Service Bus. Data Quality and Governance: Understanding of data quality management principles and data governance practices. Experience implementing data quality checks and establishing governance frameworks. Data Analytics and Business Intelligence: Proficiency in creating meaningful insights through data analytics. Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting. Data Security and Compliance: Knowledge of data security best practices and compliance standards. Experience implementing access controls, encryption, and auditing for sensitive data. Azure Services: Deep understanding of Azure services related to data, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and more. Machine Learning Integration: Familiarity with integrating machine learning models into the data platform using Azure Machine Learning or other relevant tools. Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and PowerShell for data manipulation and automation tasks. Collaboration and Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with clients and effectively convey technical information. Project Management: Experience in managing data platform projects from conception to implementation. Familiarity with project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum. Continuous Learning: A proactive approach to staying updated on the latest advancements in data management, analytics, and Microsoft technologies. Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, can validate the candidate's expertise in Azure data services. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex data-related challenges and propose effective solutions. PLACEMENT CRITERIA & REQUIREMENTS Experience designing and delivering cloud migration projects Experience with Microsoft CAF/WAF engagements and conversions 8+ years cloud architecture expertise with high-performance cloud architectures. Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Strong understanding of AI concepts, machine learning and deep learning frameworks Current Microsoft certifications TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED General Proven experience as an AI Infrastructure Architect or a similar role. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, with a focus on AI-related services. Strong understanding of AI concepts, machine learning, and deep learning frameworks. Expertise in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud architectures. Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, preferably Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Terraform. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
