We are seeking a dedicated and experienced High Level Teaching Assistant HLTA / ASD Tutor/Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder ASD, and a commitment to providing high-quality educational support.Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students with ASD, focusing on academic, social, and life skills development.We are seeking a dedicated and experienced High Level Teaching Assistant HLTA / ASD Tutor/Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder ASD, and a commitment to providing high-quality educational support.Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students with ASD, focusing on academic, social, and life skills development.Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other educational professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans IEPs for students with ASD.Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to support the learning and development of students with ASD.Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters the social and emotional well-being of students.Monitor and track student progress, and communicate regularly with parents/guardians and other stakeholders.Assist with classroom management and behaviour support as needed.Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to supporting students with ASD. Qualifications: HLTA qualification or equivalent experience working in a similar role.Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder ASD in an educational setting.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders.Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with individuals with special needs.Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with ASD.A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.The successful candidate will be confident with the engagement model using it for pupils who are:Working below the standard of the National Curriculum assessments, andNot engaged in subject-specific study at Key Stage KS 1 and KS2 you can use it for pupils in KS3 onwards, but you're not required to use the pre-Key Stage 1 and pre-Key Stage 2 standards to assess pupils who are working below the standard of the National Curriculum assessments but who are engaged in subject-specific study.
