This is a unique opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to an award-winning organization, known for its dedication to advanced robotics, technology, and sustainability in maritime operations. The company operates globally, employing over 500 specialists and serving diverse sectors such as energy, defense, telecommunications, and research. What will you be doing Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies.Perform month-end and year-end close processes.Assist and support monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, including financial audits.Prepare, develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, creating periodic reports to compare budgeted costs to actual costs.Review financial documents and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.Prepare general ledger entries, maintain records, and reconcile accounts.Manage and perform bank payments.Raise and monitor purchase orders and invoices.Handle banking, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting.Code and assign vendor invoices for managerial approval.Respond to vendor and employee queries from the central finance inbox.Plan and prioritize assignments and projects in a constantly changing environment. Are you the ideal candidate Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.AAT qualified or equivalent.4+ years of experience in accounting or finance.Experienced in bookkeeping.Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.Robust Excel skills, including the ability to create pivot tables, develop graphs and charts, and utilize formulas.Knowledge of Portuguese accounting principles is a plus.Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills.Proven ability to work with financial systems, preferably Netsuite.Strong communicator with the ability to explain detailed and technical topics to non-finance stakeholders.Integrity, credibility, and maturity for handling confidential issues.Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.Critical thinking and the ability to show initiative.Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.Enthusiastic about protecting people and the planet.
