Job Title: Events VolunteerReporting to: Team LeaderHours: Flexible working hoursSalary: Voluntary (unpaid) – Travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursedCompany: Global Peace & Unity FoundationJob Purpose: The Global Peace & Unity Foundation is seeking creative, proactive, and hardworking volunteers to join our fast-paced Events Team at the Media House Head Office in Ilford, Essex and for the upcoming GPU Festival on October 19-20, 2024, at Excel London. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn the skills and knowledge necessary for running successful large-scale events. We are offering voluntary opportunities prior to event and onsite according to requirement and available skills.Start Date: As soon as possibleResponsibilities: As an Events Volunteer, your role may involve a mix of the following: Supporting the Team Leader.Collaborating with the events team.Conducting extensive research.Handling phone calls.Performing day-to-day administrative tasks.Admin HelpExhibition SalesHelp in BackstageSpeakers protocolRegistrationKids stageGeneral AssistanceMarketingConducting site visits and attending events.Coordinating with external suppliers.Participating in the execution of the GPU Festival. Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general use of office equipment is essential.Excellent communication skills.A proactive, positive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Availability for weekend work, if required.
