They are seeking a Commercial Contracts Manager to safeguard the company's financial well-being by managing contracts, mitigating risks, and providing commercial advice throughout the business. You will lead the commercial side of deals by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, keeping stakeholders informed of key terms and potential risks/opportunities. Key Responsibilities for the Commercial Contracts Manager: - Analyse and evaluate customers Requests for Proposals or Tenders providing relevant input to stakeholders programme management, engineering, quality, subcontracts, procurement, etc. - Draft, negotiate, and manage all Commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies. - Handle the business side of contracts before and after signing, including risk management, performance tracking, and payment approvals. - Negotiate pre-project agreements like confidentiality and teaming pacts. - Understand and implement key contract terms throughout the project. - Optimise project returns and minimise risks. - Identify and address potential commercial risks with the responsible teams. - Provide regular commercial reports weekly/monthly. - Stay updated on relevant international laws and regulations. - Be the main point of contact for customer communication on proposals, changes, terminations, etc. - Represent the company in client and supplier meetings, potentially involving travel. Key Skills & Experience for the Commercial Contracts Manager:Essential - - Proven negotiating skills. - Recognition of commercial risk. - Demonstrable experience in reviewing and negotiating contract terms and conditions within a commercial environment. - Experience of managing customer contracts and/or subcontractor contracts. - Ability to undertake international travel. - Experience of dispute resolution Desired - - Experience of working with a variety of customers in varying jurisdictions, in particular experience and understanding of contracting in the USA would be advantageous. - General knowledge of the wider Civil Aerospace market. - IACCM membership or similar an advantage.
