What you’ll be responsible for Providing day to day leadership for all aspects of food safety and quality for your functional group including the management and maintenance of all quality procedures, processes, audits, ensuring operational follow up to deviations in quality standards Ensuring quality and food safety throughout the entire production cycle including all raw materials & packaging, work in progress and finished products meet our requirements and specifications Driving a culture of “Quality First Mindset” through partnering with operational teams to enhance product quality experience and ensure food safety standards are exceeded every day Improving food safety and quality management systems, and leading additional food safety innovations and projects such as allergen management, cleaning and disinfection, HACCP etc Leading quality engagement projects and ensuring the delivery of relevant KPI and improvement plans when needed by cultivating positive relationships and deploying effective risk based strategies / solutions Taking the lead on external site audits (e.g. BRCGS / FSSC 22000) ensuring we are compliant with the standard and accreditation is maintained Leading, motivating and developing Quality Auditors to ensure strong ownership and accountability for quality and manufacturing standards Member of the extended site leadership team championing quality standards and leading for safety, efficiency and cost What we’re looking for in you Highly motivated, determined and enthusiastic for food safety and quality Experience of leading change and developing people through change in a fast paced food manufacturing environment Natural problem solver with the ability to organise self and others to deliver pragmatic solutions and results Attention to detail and a thorough approach, even when operating under pressure Excellent communication and relationship building skills Proven track record of methodical thinking and project management Good observation and auditing skills Strong analytical skills; ability to translate data into action and follow-through Collaborative and strong communication skills Computer proficiency, esp. Excel, Word, Office Flexible, motivated individual with the ability to adapt quickly and effectively Flexible Worker – The role is based on normal site office hours. However, must be prepared to flex schedule as needed to support shift based colleagues due to the site being 24/4 facility It would be great if you have 3 – 5 years’ experience in a factory based role Working knowledge of external audit standards and industry regulations HACCP Level 2 / 3 Food Safety Level 2 / 3 University degree in Science, Food Technology / Science, Engineering or equivalent industrial experience What’s in it for you?
