The successful candidate will be required to travel to relevant regional Royal Mail business and operation sites 3 days per week. About the role Working to the South Midlands Regional Programme Manager, you will be accountable for leading a team of Deployment Managers and Support Planners to plan and deploy transformation activity to the required timescales, quality and benefit. You'll use your knowledge and experience of project management ensuring that project management disciplines are embedded in your way of working managing the transformation with rigour. You'll build relationships with key stakeholders and closely influence and manage these stakeholders to overcome any challenges to deployment. You 'll be responsible for leading the team to complete the technical, project management and governance tasks within the delivery revision/transformation process and for ensuring that COMs own their revisions and complete the operational and engagement/communication tasks within the process. This will ensure that a high:quality transformation and revision is deployed which will enable the unit to improve efficiency, deploy the strategy and improve scorecard performance. As the Deployment Lead Manager, you'll use your knowledge of delivery systems to ensure that proposals include the optimal structure for each unit in line with defined parameters. Shift Patterns:Monday to Friday : 08:00:16:00.A level of flexibility is expected with occasional earlier starts and a small number of weekend attendances on 'Weekend of Change' Delivery Revisions About You To truly excel in this role, you will possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed below: Skills- GeoRoute trained with a basic level knowledge- Duty Manager trained and competent- Detailed knowledge of delivery systems : IWT, Delivery Duty System (DDS), model week tool, Route Manager, Floor layout tool, Frame labelling system and fulfilment process- Proficient user of Qlikview apps including PDA OA and Delivery Opportunity app- Knowledge of IT systems : Microsoft products, SharePoint sites- Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships quickly and to explain technical outputs to stakeholders- Results and output orientated with a positive challenging style- Ability to build relationships and effectively manage stakeholders : in particular senior operational managers and business partners- Coaching skills, ability to unblock barriers and resolve issues at a local level- Project Management and Change Management skills : planning, tracking progress, stakeholder management, risk and issue management, benefit realisation- Desirable : knowledge of the delivery revision process and operational standards within the delivery function Experience- In depth understanding of the delivery operation with experience of working within this environment- Experience of deploying successful operational change within delivery- Experience of leading a team- Experience of coaching, supporting and developing others as well as themselves- Experience of effective Project Management : planning and managing to the plan, stakeholder management, communications, risk and issue management, benefits achievement- Experience of balancing a
