To keep our business ahead, we need a crack team of Vehicle Maintenance Technicians to service and maintain our fleet. We're looking for an experienced HGV Fitter/Mechanic to join us at our site in leigh. Youll be working aMonday to Friday day shift, and play a vital part in ensuring that our fleet is always maintained, serviced and safe. Pay, benefits and more. We're looking to offer a guarenteed 45 hours giving youa competitive salary of GBP 41,433 . You'll also receive 20 days holiday, rising to 25, plus bank holidays, access to a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks. What you'll do on a typical day: :Carry out MOT preparations, servicing and repairs on our fleet of HGVs:Diagnose faults on vehicles:Work on Rigids, Tractors and Trailers:Knowledge of tail lifts an advantage:Stripping, fitting and replacing components What you need to succeed at XPO: :Proven experience in an HGV Fitter/Mechanic role:Relevant HGV mechanic qualification, such as BTEC or City and Guilds (desirable):A full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement (desirable) Be part of something big .
