As the Commercial Director for the UKI across JJMT, your role will focus on leading a cross-functional & diverse team across areas of value-based procurement strategy, commercial strategy and execution, pricing strategy, debt resolution, contract system process improvement, and you will contribute to ensuring JJMT continues to meet the needs of the external environment and support commercial market access. You will sit on the JJMT Extended Leadership Team & Strategic Capabilities Leadership Team, and you will sit on the ABHI Value & Access Group alongside the ABHI Commercial Group & NHSE Established Products forums. Key Responsibilities: * Leading, creating, shaping and implementing the internal overarching strategy for NHS SC Category Team procurement process, SCCL engagement and ensuring all modelling and execution of the strategy will be fit for purpose to enable Johnson & Johnson to win in the external environment. * Leading the sign-up to the Category Teams' procurement frameworks * Led the governance process for the execution of the category team strategy, JJMT pricing strategy and capital management pan-MedTech through cross-functional teams. * Lead the contract compliance process and drive sustainable profitable growth through your commercial team. * Build an in-depth understanding and long-term relationships with CFOs, Procurement Directors, SCCL, ABHI and Category Tower counterparts. * Lead contractual negotiations and shape the route to market across the JJMT portfolio for NHS and Direct routes to market aligned to JJMTs value proposition. * Create and embed the JJMT 4Ps value proposition strategy tailored to the specific category teams in order to develop long-term partnership agreements. * Become the commercial expert for the category teams and feedback key environmental knowledge, market intelligence and sales opportunities to the LT and sales and marketing colleagues. * Be the expert in the market understanding the market trends and in particular focus on changes in funding and service delivery, which may affect the implementation of the JJMT Commercial Strategy. * Drive the Customer Mantra 'easy to do business with' throughout all of our contract, tender and system processes and utilise data to Drive Process Improvements and business cases within the team especially in the space of AI and automation where feasible through the Contracts & Tenders team. * Drive the customer experience with superior technological connectivity to drive simplicity and ease of use with standardised approaches across JJMT through the Contracts & Tenders team. * Drive alignment, prioritisation and delivery of the UKI Strategic objectives to ensure flawless execution of strategic programs * Managing price, volume mix and other commercial terms. * Led a team whose responsibility will be to drive efficiencies, SOX requirements, commercial contracts with win/grow and profitability KPI delivery alongside being the sponsor for UKI Revenue Assurance Programme & delivery of DSO targets * Through your CBM team led by CBMLs ensure appropriate identification of opportunities for business growth through commercial incentives and value creation aligned to franchise & JJMT strategies. * Ensuring a consistent high-performance team through coaching, development and attracting top talent through "always on" recruitment & tailored development programmes for each team member. * Constructing growth-based pricing proposals through analysing customer and Health economic data and utilising the internal pricing matrices to execute our internal commercial strategy with a long term view. * Working across the JJMT matrix (including the legal, finance, commercial board, franchise counterparts pan JJMT, sales organisations, tenders and pricing teams). * Nurture, import and export talent across the J&J organisation. Key Experience, Qualifications & Capabilities: * To excel in this role, experience in business administration, marketing & communications, hospital management, life science, public administration or related fields or studies would be preferable but not essential. * Work experience in healthcare including leading cross-functional teams in: * Sales & Marketing * Key/strategic accounts * Lead integrated multi-level teams, to connect and effectively collaborate across a diverse group of business stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment without formal authority. * Ability to think short term and long term whilst balancing strategy setting with delivery through others linked to a strong vision, credo-based strategy. * Proven track record of driving disciplined performance through their team and recruiting diverse talent aligned to longer-term business needs whilst building high-performing teams. * Ability to balance 'what' and 'how' approaches to deliver business and people results. * Driven by results performance & delivering excellence through strong project management skills and process-oriented work with adequate ability to delegate, do and influence with and without direct line leadership. * Entrepreneurial and solution bias mindset with the ability to drive customer-centric and Credo-centric value-driven approach managing complexity, influencing and collaborating in a global, matrixed environment to achieve business objectives. * Ability to understand business strategy and coach the transition to translate it into account plans, exceptional planning, people and commercial skills are a core requirement. * Strong passion and track record for innovation & will to make things happen & deliver. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in local language(s) and English; effective interpersonal and teamwork skills. * Ability to draw actionable conclusions and story tell. * Excellent understanding of the UK Healthcare System (public and private), procurement providers coupled with an understanding of health economic principles * Proven track record of the ability to influence senior C suite stakeholders at both an internal and external level. (Director level and above).
