Material Planner

Description:
A leading manufacturer construction and mining equipment is currently looking for a Material Planner to join the team at their Stockton site. The position is paying GBP17.78 an hour (PAYE) and GBP23.24 (Umbrella). Working core hours (flexible start finish times) around 09:00:15:00 the position is hybrid with a minimum of three days on site. The Role As a Material Planner you will ensure that material requirements are scheduled for delivery from suppliers in a quantity and on a date to support our service to customers. Typical responsibilities include: * Ensuring that deliveries take place on the correct date, in the correct containers, in the quantity specified. Dealing with any delivery discrepancies to resolve * Validating that supplier schedules meet the facilities demands and collaborate with supplier to ensure continued material availability * Initiating, coordinating, and participating in activities to ensure optimum inventory levels * Being involved with, as necessary, the scheduling and control of onward ship material * Performing all tasks to CPS levels of performance * Coordinating and managing returnable stillages * Weekly reporting on key performance indicator * Supporting supply chain manager with master scheduling duties where required * Coordinating and managing engineering changes Requirements * Previous experience of working with a Material Planning role or supply chain * Supplier Management Experience * Knowledge of MRP * Excellent Interpersonal Skills * Excellent Microsoft skills * Self:Motivated with Excellent Attention to detail * Experience within a Manufacturing environment is preferable Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
