Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Central London Contract Type: Permanent My client, delivers M and E engineering solutions across Rail, Highways, Power, and Tunnels Benefits: * Competitive salary with annual appraisals * Travel expenses for locations outside your contracted area, private Medical Insurance, pension scheme, 25 days holiday * Opportunities for progression * Collaborative and innovative work environment What We Are Looking For: Essential: * Demonstrable use and understanding of standard forms of contract. * Proficient knowledge of MS Office packages including Excel, Project, and Word. * Working understanding of valuation techniques for construction works, including elemental cost analysis of labour, materials, plant, sub:contract, and general expenses * Ability to perform programme analysis and measurement of Earned Value * Competent in using accounting concepts and forecasting cost and value based on programme and scope of works * Familiarity with tools for managing project and business costs, including cost:saving techniques Desired: * Detailed knowledge of NEC contracts. * Knowledge of JCT contracts. Desired qualifications: * Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent * Professional memberships such as RICS, CIOB, ICES, or equivalent * Valid CSCS card * Full UK drivers licence Key Responsibilities: * Support Project Managers to ensure projects meet commercial and financial targets * Build strong, collaborative relationships with client and supplier counterparts. * Contribute to regular, accurate reporting to the Commercial Manager on PHR, CVR, Cash Flow, and Weekly Updates * Responsible for the project budget and regular commercial forecasts * Conduct valuations for initial, interim, and final payment applications * Manage sub:contractor and supplier accounts in line with agreed subcontracts and upstream contractual requirements * Identify, notify, value, and agree on changes (variations, compensation events, claims) * Work with the Commercial Manager to maximise the recovery of all contractual entitlements * Ensure project adherence to contract terms and conditions, particularly regarding notice times and applications * Maintain contemporary records for supporting claims, extensions of time, and the evaluation of variations * Support tender processes as needed * Promote and maintain professional working relationships * Identify project risks and develop strategies to minimise commercial impact If this is of interest please apply below Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
