Vacancy: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Surrey Salary + Package: Leading For The Region I am assisting my client, who is a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor in the search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team in Surrey. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial team on a variety of exciting projects from Education to Commercial, Healthcare, Leisure, MOJ and MOD. Duties and responsibilities: * Exposure to the full project lifecycle with involvement across pre:construction through to project delivery. * Working alongside the project delivery team, to ensure the contractual control and cost management of projects across different sectors. * Managing the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to interim and final account agreement. * Being involved with the final account negotiation to ensure the best possible outcome. * Manage the project commercial team. To be considered for the role, they would like: * HNC / HND in Surveying or equivalent. * Proven experience as the SQS / Commercial lead working with a main contractor. * A good understanding of building regulations and legal obligations. * A good knowledge of construction methods and materials. * Strong mathematical and IT ability. * Negotiating and networking skills. * Excellent communications skills. * Good team working skills.
