With a commitment to quality and innovation, they take pride in their skilled team and cutting-edge technology. As they continue to grow, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Sliding Head Lathe Machinist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Sliding Head Lathes to manufacture close tolerance Aerospace and Scientific instrument components to customer drawings and specifications. Working Hours – Monday to Friday 37.5 Hours Day ShiftOvertime to be worked when required£16.00 to £20.00 Hour Dependent on Experience Key Responsibilities: Program, Set and Operate Sliding Head Lathes to perform required tasksProduce tightly tolerance componentsCheck and maintain machinery to ensure functionalityMonitor work produced, ensuring the highest level of qualityInterpret technical drawings and specifications Experience Requirements: Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or higherAbility to program, set and operate Citizen Sliding Head LathesAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsAbility to understand tolerances, geometric & surface finish requirementsExperience of working with Stainless Steel and Nickel AlloysKnowledge of correct tip grade and cutting tool selectionGood level of knowledge in inspection equipment and techniquesStrong attention to detailPrevious knowledge of Fanuc and/or Mitsubishi programming
