Enabling Support Worker (Children and Young Peoples Services) Location: Northumberland : Ashington, Blyth, Cramlington and surrounding areas. The Role They are really excited to be launching new support services for children and young people with disabilities. They are delivering short break support, caring for children in their own homes or to access activities in their local area. Theyre looking for enthusiastic Enabling Support Workers to join their new service As one of their Enabling Support Workers you will: * Support children to access their local area.* Support children in their homes.* Provide parents/carers a break.* Enable the children and young people they support to flourish and lead fulfilled lives. Skills and Qualifications Theyre looking for someone with experience working with children and young people. They would like someone who wants to progress as there will be development opportunities with this role as the service grows. Essential criteria * Experience of working with children with disabilities.* Experience of caring for children.* Fun, friendly and good at making children laugh Desirable criteria: * Level 3 (or above) qualification in Health and Social Care or Child Care* Level 2 (or above) qualifications in English and Maths.* Previous experience working as a support worker or childcare practitioner.* Car driver with access to own vehicle.
