Youre a Mechanical Design Engineer who wants to be involved in the latest automation design and production phase of projects. Based in Wrexham, youll be working on our market leading production line equipment as part of our growing Mechanical Design team. COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: You could live in Wrexham, Chester, Deeside, Oswestry, Ellesmere, Whitchurch, Crewe, Shrewsbury, Mold, Rhyl, Market Drayton, Nantwich, Runcorn, Liverpool JOB DESCRIPTION: Mechanical Design Engineer / CAD Technician / CAD Draughtsperson : Print / Automation As a Mechanical Design Engineer, youll be involved in designing our line equipment and fixtures in our UK and International facilities. Youll be involved from the design stage, right through to the build and implementation stages, so you can see your designs come to life. Youll be using SOLIDWORKS to develop designs. Youll also maintain detailed documents of designs, modifications and project progress. In this role youll be:A Testing and validating your designs to ensure sound performanceA Involved in the build stage of the process, keeping your hands:on skills well polishedA Providing support for modifications and design changes at build and commissioning stage PERSON SPECIFICATION: Mechanical Design Engineer / CAD Technician / CAD Draughtsperson : Print / Automation Youll have completed your degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or similar and have an interest in mechanical assembly design. Youll have experience working on 3D CAD, ideally with SOLIDWORKS, designing machinery with the likes of pneumatics and motors. Youll be hands on during the build phase.
