Position: Programmes Associate Location: London, UK Salary: Competitive, based on experience Contract: Full-time, permanent About the Role: We are looking for a talented graduate to work with our programmes team to support the delivery of some amazing projects and incredible partnerships. Parent Zone is a social enterprise that works to improve outcomes for children. The online world offers enormous opportunities to children and young people and as the experts in digital family life, we understand tech can also pose huge challenges. Our purpose is to help families balance opportunity with risk. To empower them with information and education and to work closely with partners developing solutions with families in mind. Our partners including global tech companies and government departments. Our projects include a media literacy training programme for parents, a primary school programme teaching online safety to 7-11 year olds and a programme for secondary age pupils helping them to navigate mis and disinformation. We are also doing work to understand emerging harms including child financial harms and starting to mpa interventions for pre-school children. Our focus areas are online safety, digital futures and parenting. We work nationally but think locally making sure our projects have real impact for families. We are looking for a graduate who wants to learn how partnerships run. What makes a good programme and how to deliver effective work at scale. This internship would suit someone who is interested in delivering social change and is curious to know how social enterprise works. Someone with brilliant organisational skills who can confidently and accurately deliver work - including tracking performance data and supporting the smooth running of a project. You'll need to have exceptional communication skills and know how to be a team player. Above all you'll be curious and interested in the impact of technology on family life. Key Responsibilities: - Support the Programmes Managers in coordinating and managing project activities, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring progress - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of programme activities - Assist in the preparation of project proposals, reports, and other relevant documents - Monitor and evaluate programme performance and provide regular updates to the Programmes Manager - Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact programme delivery - Contribute to the development and maintenance of relationships with partners and other stakeholders Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. social sciences, politics, technology etc ) - Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and diverse stakeholders - Proven research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment - Flexibility to travel occasionally, as required We Offer: - A competitive salary and benefits package - A supportive and inclusive work environment - Opportunities for professional development and growth - The chance to make a real difference in the lives of people around the world If this sounds like an Internship you would enjoy and have the skills and experience we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
