Job Title: Ergonomic Assessor Location: Field:based, Covering Yorkshire, Northeast England Salary: Competitive Working Hours: Flexible Assistive Solutions specialises in supporting individuals eligible for Disabled Students Allowances within higher education. We are a Social Enterprise that works with disabled people, providing specialist computer equipment, 1:1 teaching and have an in:house software development team. About the role: We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our small team as an ergonomic assessor covering Yorkshire, Northeast London Please note this is a field:based role that requires travel, therefore candidates must have access to car. This Position Entails: * Providing 1:1 ergonomic assessments for adult students with varying physical disabilities * Travelling to students homes, assessing their existing workstations, and discussing appropriate ergonomic solutions for effective study * You will be required to travel across the Southwest of England on a daily basis by car (although public transportation will be considered for the right candidate) * Assessment locations include Devon, Dorset, Cornwall, and South Somerset About you: Successful candidates will be good communicators with excellent interpersonal skills and be motivated to help students access education through ergonomic solutions. Experience working in adult social care, occupational health, health and safety, disability, or education backgrounds preferred. We will provide suitable individuals with extensive in:house training, teaching resources and methodologies for you to develop your skills and provide a high standard service to students. Essential Skills and Traits: * Have access to a car * Experience in relevant field * Excellent writing skills * Computer literacy * Strong people and communication skills * Patience and listening skills * Ability to write clear and concise reports to tight deadlines * Ability to think outside of the box to provide appropriate solutions for individual ergonomic needs * Ability to present information clearly * Strong organisational skills * Fast learner * Independent thinker * Ability to work by oneself and as part of a team Desirable Skills / Qualifications: * Degree:level qualification * Teaching/1:1 experience and/or qualifications * Strong understanding of health and safety and/or DSE workstation Legal: You will be required to have an Extended CRB check Please click the APPLY button to submit your CV.
