Senior Financial Accountant Location: Leicester Salary A GBP 45,000 to A GBP 60,000 The Role Our Client, an SME business in the construction sector in Leicester : is seeking to recruit an experienced Accountant on a full:time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for: * Maintaining fixed:asset register including additions and disposals, preparation and posting of monthly depreciation and agreeing to P and L / balance sheet,* Agree monthly payroll nominal report and post journal,* Month:end reporting, assisting the Management team in preparation of statutory accounts and audit packs for a range of businesses.* Assisting with monthly P and L reviews, budgets and forecasts,* Assisting with preparing detailed monthly P and L and balance sheet reports,* Preparation of cashflow statements and controlling expenditure / cash flow for various companies* Management of credit limits. The Right Person * Qualified or Part:Qualified ACCA, CIMA, AAT or Qualified By Experience,* Possess demonstrable experience in accounts preparation together with knowledge of VAT rules,* Advanced knowledge of Sage 50 would be an advantage,* Knowledge of Payroll and CIS would be advantageous,* Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management,* Numerate, analytical with attention to detail,* Excellent planning, organisation and the ability to achieve deadlines. Package * Appointment Type: Permanent* Salary: A GBP 45,000 : A GBP 60,000 (subject to experience)* Hours: Full:Time
