Sr. Manager Global Distribution (FAR)in GAC Farnborough Unique Skills: Experience in Aviation MRO environment preferred Experience in Corridor Aviation Software and/ or SAP preferred Education and Experience RequirementsBachelors Degree Business or related discipline required. Masters Degree preferred. extensive progressively responsible logistics, materials and/or supply chain mgmt positions and demonstrated leadership ability with at least 6 years in a supervisor/management role. Position Purpose: Manages inventory, associated material workflows and operations of all contracted customer support warehousing locations, contract development, execution, and management. Position may have responsibility of local or regional service center materials operations and associated workflows. Evaluate and maintain knowledge of international trade, embargos, and geopolitical environment to determine risks associated to maintaining warehouse operations and workflows in order to provide parts to international customers, to include but not limited to, establishing / defining importer of record (IOR), and limited VAT or duty exposure through collaboration / alignment with Gulfstream Trade Compliance / Legal Teams and international Logistic Providers / Brokers. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: : Manages non gulfstream warehouse location contracts, to include operational review / execution, performance evaluation, and contract renewal / pricing. : Develop and promote awareness of global part availability opportunities and challenges and respond promptly to changes/developments in size/scope of all current and emerging markets. : Familiarity with US and foreign govt customs, regs, and taxation reqmts and restrictions on preparation, packaging, and shipment of parts (ex. DOT, FCPA, ITAR, etc.) required. : Deliver superior spare part availability and fill rates to service centers and individual operators around the world, proactively address concerns, disputes, and obstacles. : Deliver optimal profitability and return on invested capital through efficient and effective planning, control, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple sites and internal/external entities. : Develop comprehensive logistics and warehousing strategies, set/manage priorities, and secure/deploy resources that align with Gulfstream Product Support business objectives. : Coordinate with Gulfstream service center locations and other network partners to promote best practices and select/secure inventory appropriate to local/regional dem and . : Establish and implement market entry strategies for new regions and locations, including selection of sites and local employees and partners to provide key products and services. : Manages and implements integrated processes and procedures between cross:site/cross:functional areas to facilitate timely and consistent flow of materials/parts though the system. : Develop processes, procedures, and provides contractual inputs to establish new contracted warehouse locations.
